These terms of use govern your use of meetMyRC (the “service”). By registering an account and using the service, you accept them.

Scope and contracting party

meetMyRC is a tool for RC car hobbyists: you manage your models, your inventory, your expenses and your diary, and you can optionally show your models in a public showroom. The provider and your contracting party is Marcel Kraus; you will find the address and contact details in the imprint. These terms apply to your use of the service.

Costs

Using the service is free of charge for you. The core features – above all managing your models and showing them in your public showroom – stay free for good. Should we charge for new or extended features in the future, any obligation to pay arises solely from a separate, explicit order; without such an order you incur no costs.

Account and your responsibility

To use the service you create an account. You must be at least 16 years old; if you are younger, you need the consent of a parent or guardian. You provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for actions taken through your account. An account is intended for one person. You are responsible for the content you enter or publish.

Permitted and prohibited content

You only post content you are entitled to post. Prohibited content includes, in particular, content that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of third parties (such as copyright, trademark or personality rights), or is offensive, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable. You only upload photos in which other people are recognisable, or in which third parties hold rights, if you are entitled to do so.

Rights in your content

The content you post remains yours. You grant meetMyRC the non-exclusive right, limited to the duration of your use, to store this content, process it technically, and – where you make a model public – display it on the associated showroom page and in the preview images generated from it (for example for sharing in forums and networks). On publicly delivered photos we add a discreet mark (“meetMyRC.com”). If you make a model private again or delete content, this right ends for the content concerned.

Comments

You may comment on other members' public models, and other members may comment on yours. Comments follow the same content rules as above – no unlawful, infringing, offensive or otherwise objectionable content. You are responsible for the comments you post. You may likewise comment on public racetracks in the catalogue; as long as a racetrack has no operator, we moderate those comments.

You may delete your own comments at any time. As the owner of a model, you may remove any comment on its showroom page, and we may remove or hide comments that violate these terms or applicable law. A removed comment is hidden from public view; we may retain it for a reasonable period to handle abuse or legal matters before final deletion.

Likes

You can like other members' public models – a simple appreciation with no content of its own. A like is publicly visible as a counter and can be removed again at any time.

Feedback

You can send us feedback through the feedback button. The content rules above apply here too. Feedback is not public; it goes solely to us. If you send us suggestions or ideas, we may use them to improve meetMyRC without any compensation or obligation to you.

Racetrack catalogue

Our racetrack catalogue is a business directory of places to drive – at first RC racetracks, indoor halls and clubs. We create the entries from publicly accessible information and check and supplement them to the best of our knowledge and belief; we make no warranty as to their accuracy or completeness. Entries can be corrected or removed at any time. If an entry concerns you or is incorrect, you can report it via the report link on the entry; we will then review and remove it.

Username and model code

Your username also forms the address of your public profile page; every public model is additionally assigned a four-letter model code. You may change your username once yourself, as long as you have not published a model; after that it stays as it is, so that links already shared do not run into nothing. We reserve the right to change a username or a model code for legal or technical reasons or in case of misuse.

Availability and beta operation

meetMyRC is in a public beta phase and is under continuous development. We strive for reliable operation but do not owe any particular availability or uninterrupted access; features may change or be removed. Do not rely on the service alone for irreplaceable data – keep your own backups.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account yourself in your account settings; the deletion is immediate and final, including all content. If you do not confirm your e-mail address within seven days of registering, we delete the account together with its content; we tell you by e-mail one day beforehand. If you seriously breach these terms or applicable law, we may remove content and suspend your account temporarily or delete it permanently; for minor breaches we will, where possible, notify you beforehand.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation – an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you regularly rely – and limited in amount to the foreseeable damage typical for such a contract. Otherwise liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, in particular under the German Product Liability Act, remains unaffected.

Changes to these terms of use

We may change these terms of use where there is a valid reason – for example because the service evolves, we introduce new features, or the legal situation changes. We will inform you of material changes to your disadvantage before they take effect, with reasonable notice (by e-mail to the address held for your account, or by a clear notice within the service). If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the service and delete your account; if you continue to use the service after the change takes effect, the amended terms apply. Purely technical or clarifying adjustments, and changes solely to your advantage, we make without this procedure.

Language versions

meetMyRC is operated in German. English versions of this website – including parts translated automatically or with AI assistance – are provided for convenience and may contain inaccuracies or errors. In case of any discrepancy or conflict between the German and a translated version, the German version prevails.

Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision of these terms of use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
